      <image:title>About</image:title>
<image:caption>Dr. Aaliya Yaqub is a Stanford-trained physician, researcher, and executive coach whose work sits at the intersection of medicine, human performance, and the science of flourishing. She received her medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Stanford Hospital and Clinics, followed by a specialized fellowship in the Departments of Dermatology and Immunology at Stanford — where she published original research and contributed book chapters on cutaneous fibrosing disorders. She remains on the adjunct faculty at Stanford Medical School, where she teaches the next generation of physicians. Dr. Yaqub was among the first physicians embedded inside the Facebook Health Center — now Meta — where she provided care to employees and executives at the leading edge of the technology industry. For years, she served as personal concierge physician to A-list celebrities, public company CEOs, professional athletes, and musicians. In those rooms — the rooms where achievement stops and the human being remains — she observed something that would shape the entire trajectory of her career: that extraordinary success and profound inner emptiness are not mutually exclusive. That the most accomplished people in the world are often the most depleted. And that what they were missing was not medical. It was human. That insight became her life's work. As a serial medical founder, Dr. Yaqub has built and advised healthcare companies at the forefront of innovation — including Forward, the technology-enabled primary care platform, and Simple HealthKit, focused on accessible diagnostics. She serves as a strategic medical advisor to a portfolio of early-stage companies including Steady Health, Legacy, Modern Health, Spruce Health, Ambience, and Pair Team, and is an active angel investor focused on healthcare technology that meaningfully improves people's lives. She brings to every company a rare combination of clinical depth, product intuition, and business fluency developed across two decades at the intersection of medicine and Silicon Valley. As the Chief Medical Officer at Thrive Global — Arianna Huffington's science-backed behavior change platform — Dr. Yaqub led clinical research, chaired the Scientific Advisory Board, and developed programming and curriculum for multinational clients including Walmart, Pfizer, Takeda Pharmaceuticals, Rakuten, and Williams-Sonoma. Her work there deepened her conviction that the tools of peak performance and the science of human flourishing belong together — and that the organizations and individuals willing to invest in both will define the next era of leadership. Dr. Yaqub is a pioneer in the design of patient-centered, AI-driven healthcare solutions — and a thoughtful voice on the ethics of artificial intelligence in medicine. As AI reshapes how care is delivered, diagnosed, and personalized, she believes the physician's role is not to resist that transformation but to ensure it remains anchored in the irreducible humanity of the patient-doctor relationship. She advises companies and speaks on the responsible integration of AI across clinical and corporate settings. She runs a boutique executive coaching and life optimization practice for female executives and mid-to-late career physicians — women who have achieved extraordinary professional success and are ready to build the inner life, the relationships, and the sense of purpose to match it. Her coaching practice draws on the latest neuroscience, behavioral science, and preventative medicine, integrated with the wisdom she has accumulated across two decades of caring for some of the world's most high-performing people. Dr. Yaqub also works as an independent skincare consultant to brands, focusing on the research and development of science-backed skincare products. She serves on the boards of several nonprofit organizations and is passionate about empowering women entrepreneurs at every stage of their journey. She lives in Silicon Valley with her husband and their four children — whom she homeschools — and is currently at work on her first book.</image:caption>
